Doxycycline is also prescribed for urinary tract infections, and for some gonococcal infections in adults. Doxycycline is also an approved treatment for inhalational anthrax. Minocycline is used to treat many different bacterial infections, such as urinary tract infections, acne, gonorrhea, and chlamydia.
